Northeast Ranger Tugs Owners Rendezvous 2024, August 8-11, Essex, CT
When: Arrive any time after 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 8. Two days in port on Friday and Saturday. Depart before 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 11.

Details: Look forward to three days of meeting and getting to know fellow Ranger Tug owners, sharing experiences and checking out each other’s boats. The factory will again support the event. I’m trying to again arrange some seminars for boating related topics. The factory will also provide us with some SWAG. As long as we have more than 10 boats, we will have use of the Marina’s pavilion at no additional charge for our use for get togethers, activities, group meals if we wish, etc. I will probably provide some live musical entertainment at some point, as everyone seemed to enjoy it last year. Also working on some activities for the group. Stay tuned…..
Still have a lot of work to do, but am thinking of loosely following the format of other rendezvous events in which the first night is a cocktail hour and then a pot-luck/sharing dinner. Working on ideas I have for the second night dinner that we’d have together. The third night will be a dinner at a local restaurant. The dinner will be either fully or partially sponsored by the factory – depends on how many participants we have.
Area: A true boating retreat for rendezvous gatherings, yacht club festivities, waterfront weddings, and more. Quietly placed on its own 13-acre island, Safe Harbor Essex Island is a waterfront destination for locals and cruisers alike. Unwind by the oversized pool, enjoy a game of volleyball with family, or explore the vibrant village atmosphere in nearby Essex. Beautiful Hamburg Cove is just up the river and is a great place to anchor for the day. Essex Island Marina has two on site restaurants a pool, ship’s store, cable tv, wifi, clean heads and showers as well as laundry.
Marina and Dockage Reservations: Each tug owner will need to make his/her own reservations. Individuals can make reservations directly online at Dockwa.com and then searching for Safe Harbor Essex Island Marina.
IMPORTANT***: in order for the reservations to be accepted before March 4th they MUST indicated in the ‘special requests’ section that they are traveling with the rendezvous. IF they do not then the reservation will be assumed as a general public reservation and will be put on the waitlist until March 4th. The yard manager strongly urges all to make reservations prior to the March 4, deadline before the transient dockage is opened to the general public. That is the best way to guarantee a slip.
Pricing:
Dockage rate: $5.85 per foot
Electric rates: Single 30 amp ($18.00 per night)
Dual 30 amp ($35.00 per night)
50 amp ($38.00 per night)
Dual 50 amp ($75.00 per night)
